RC Varna Euxinograd and English Foundation "Bulgarian Aid" delivered and donated nearly 13 tonnes of aids for needy in Varna and Provadiya.

For third year Rotary Club Varna-Euxinograd and English Foundation "Bulgarian Aid" delivered, distributed and donated nearly 13 tons of aid to nursing homes, homes for children deprived of parental care and social facilities and kitchens, as well as medical supplies and supplies for the needs of the hospital in Varna.
Twenty pallet of food, medical equipment and clothing arrived by 40 foot container of December 18, 2013 in Varna on behalf of RC Varna-Euxinograd.
Food by almost 9 tons of weight, include various canned vegetables, soups, cereals and pasta, fruit juices, cookies, baked goods, soups and stews as all products are at least one year remaining shelf life. Medical supplies from over 420 items weighing 2.5 tons include medical clothing, blankets, towels, medical instruments and utensils, crutches, wheelchairs, special chairs for blood and many other specialized medical supplies and devices.
Foundation "Bulgarian Aid" is headed by Christine Thompson also Rotarians and President of RC Howden, UK for 2013-2014, which for the occasion arrived in Bulgaria with her husband Charles Christopher Thompson, a member of the Rotary Club to monitor the distribution the kinds of products and personally present in distribution the aid to their places of need!
The container was received and customs cleared by Rotarians from RC Varna Evksinograd and then it was made a plan of distribution, the products were unloaded and distributed by recipients with personal labor of the members of the RC Varna-Euxinograd Kalina Georgieva, Angel Safev, Georgi Petrov, Lubomir Gospodinov Valerie Penchev Plamen Panayotov and Valentin Markov.
This year, food aid was distributed in percentage terms as the work load of the different houses, aid received Foundation "Faith, hope and love" that feeds the public kitchen over 800 Social people, Association "St. Andrew" caring for 170 people, the Association "To save the woman," Day care center for children and youth with disabilities "St. Joan Zlatoust", Home for the elderly in Provadiya, Hospice Asclepii in the village Voditza and medical equipment and supplies were distributed to the Military Hospital in Varna and MBAL Saint Marina.
Christine Thompson with Rotarians from RC Varna-Euxinograd visited places and attend in rendering donation to people in need in Foundation "Faith, Hope and Love", in Social Association "St. Andrew", Military Hospital and other locations .
Distribution of aid was covered in the local media, newspaper "Narodno delo" and in the "Cherno more" as well as special coverage of Radio Varna, handing the donation to inmates of the Day care center for children and youth with disabilities "St. Joan Zlatoust" for which RC Varna-Euxinograd have been taking special care since 2011.
By giving away these nearly 13 tons of food aid and medical supplies members of RC Varna-Euxinograd have been taking special care since 2011, will meet the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays with a sense of satisfaction and fulfilled debt to the needy of the community of the city and with the belief that they really have helped these people to be able to meet these bright Christian holidays with dignity, joy and a ray of hope!
